Blogs :: the where
The three "a's" is what I'm going to call them. America (Central and South), Africa, and Asia. The plan begins without a plan, but, since everyone wants us to be more specific, here's the best i can do.
We start just south of the border, near mcallan texas, and head towards Mexico City...who knows how far how fast, but that's at least the first checkpoint. The second comes in Oaxaca, about a day or two's drive south of the capital city. Here we plan to spend Dia de Los Muertos or Day of the Dead. When we start blogging, I'll be going into more detail about why we are where we are, but for now, this is all you get, a sneak peak. The next region of Mexico includes a stop in the Yucatan to explore Mayan ruins and culture...
From there, it'll most likely be down to Belize, Guatemala, a short stop over in El Salavador, with Honduras sandwiched somewhere in between. All this followed by Nicaragua where we'll stop over at the Zoom Bar to check on Wayne. I suppose we'll head down into Costa Rica...not spending a ton of time there, but seeing the few places we haven't already. Then it's on to panama...I have no idea what the hell we're doing there. That's up to Jason.
There is this thing called the Darian Gap in between Panama and Colombia which we've been advised to navigate around...we'll see. Sara and Nicole talked about meeting us somewhere inside this massive and beautiful country as one is from Colombia. From there, Brazil for Carnaval; then what? Argentina? Peru? Chile? Paraguay? Who knows...
Africa comes next, starting south and moving north to Cairo. Details like terrain get even sketchier here. Post africa is Asia. Perhaps along the Silk Road across the Middle East into Pakistan, India, down into China and eventually the islands of the South Pacific. Bottom line, who knows? That's what an adventure is about.
